Jean-Jacques Correia is a mechanical engineer at the Institut de Planétologie et d’Astrophysique de Grenoble (IPAG), Université de Grenoble Alpes, France, since 2015. Between 2001 and 2015, he was a mechanical engineer at the Laboratoire Atmosphères, Milieux, Observations spatiales (LATMOS). Since 2015, he is a mechanical engineer for several ground based instruments (MAORY/ELT, HARMONI/ELT, EXTRA, SHADOWS, HDC…) and project manager for the HDC project (high resolution IR spectrometer). For those projects, he designs the instrument mechanical system and performs the thermal and structural calculations. Before 2015, he was a mechanical engineer for space instruments. He designed SAM/Curiosity, GAP/Phobos grunt, PHEBUS/BepiColombo, MOMA/Exomars, Supercam/Mars2020 mechanical structure and housing, as well as several others space instruments for proposal.
